Getting the title on a backline character like a Monk or a Paragon isn't the same as getting it on a frontline character like a Warrior or Assassin.
It shouldn't be account-wide but there should definitely be some kind of reset, at least for characters that were around before the title.

Or, if they won't give it to us just because 'dying means we're not a survivor'... make the survivors lose their title permanently if they EVER die, because if they die they're not much of a survivor EITHER.

Now with Kilroy's quests it's even easier.
Deaths do not count ther, yet you get exp for the quest, and exp from the kill.
Survivor now is EASY. But 'Devotion' players can get it.
That is not fair. It will never be.
It's like not being able to access somewhere if you have Divine Aura.

/not signed....takes the whole thing out of legendary survivor!
this would be like every1 crying cus they didnt get legendary defender of ascalon before it was available....we are all in the dilemma of our first characters not being able to get legendary survivor.
im in the dilemma i cant get legendary survivor and legandary defender of ascalon on the same title track anymore!!!(appose to when they first came out)
so deal with it and start another character every1 else had to

i have 2 survior toons and it took hard work they way i did it trapping veil with a friend lol not to hard but still the time it took getting 30k xp i every 8 min
i have a rnager that was made before the title came out and had died by then and i do wish i could have the chance for it but i do not want this for the reason of being what about the pople who got it the other way there time just to have it being changed
if anything i think they shoul dhave something that makes it so the pople who mad a toon before the title came out would have a chance to get it
but to do this please tell in advance or what not

maybe all the characters that where created before survivors were introduced, should get the title showing up as 0exp(in ther H log) and can grind for the title using the title track to keep count of how much exp on the title already..and once they die its lost for ever..like a normal survivor now days)

I do agree that older characters deserve a chance to get it however so a 1 time death reset would be fair imo. But if they were to make the title easier to get than there's nothing Legendary about it... Especially considering it's not all that hard to get once you hit level 20 anyway, since you can just cap elites or find a good farming spot to get your XP.

since a lot of players now think that making the title gaining experience easier is the way to do things, I think this definitely should be one of the thing ANET do for the LONG TIME players*.
LONG TIME PLAYERS: *if we have characters that was created before tittles come out and have played them to probably 80% towards max title, I think we should be at lest given chance to make those characters *survival title able*

Every game I play (D2, DS 1 & 2, Delta Force, etc), I strive to survive. It didn't / doesn't matter if there is a title or not. I HATE to die. One thing to keep in mind is that GW really wasn't set up for your character to survive at the start, even if you were doing your best not to die. You could have died during a cut scene while your character was frozen. You could have played perfect up to Thunderhead keep and if the king died there, your whole party had a sudden heart attack and your death count went up one.... failing missions gave you a death even when you never got killed. I play like you do so I remember this annoying quality. As mentioned elsewhere in this thread, the title didn't go in until a year in so you potentially could have made legendary survivor and then died at month 11 and still missed the title.
But even with all this, I'd still say /unsigned. At this point there are people who made a new character and put the time in to get that title so it's not fair to devalue what they've already done now.

I would say it is a good idea.
My idea would actually be to remove Legendary Defender of Ascalon (encourages the dumbest grind ever), Legendary Survivor (actually has some appeal), Drunkard (please find better ways for moneysinks), Sweet Tooth (same) and make all title where it possible account based.
Won't happen, but I do not want such crap in GW2.

I'd go for the death reset idea, giving old characters a one-time shot at the title.
I only play for titles on my monk, and she was created before titles and too developed to re-roll later. I could always make a new character to go for Legendary Survivor, but I do not see the point: KoaBD encourages titles all on one character as many are not cross-account. This idea gives people in that position one shot at it.
I dont support the "make 1337k exp in a row without dying" concept since that just makes Legendary Survivor something you'd get sooner or later, unless an entirely new exp titles were to be created.

to you could have a much higher amount of XP needed, like double, to counter the fact that you are allowed to get it even if you die. just start again.

give them to a festival hats guy in LA...or Kamadan... LA festivil guy is near the dye and merchants and stuff... by the staircase to get to the bank...
kama guy is also by the materials and dyes... show them to hm, and u can make them on ANY account for just 10 gold...

only thing is with this...they are lvl 20, and can just farm in hard mode right away... for everyone else u start at lvl 1... u have all that danger at low lvls and u cant take off farming in HM...
